A small *HARDBACK book - a compendium of useful information. Containing the complete census of the United States by counties; map of the United States' views of public buildings; patent and copyright laws; rules and directions for obraining patents; forms for patents, caveats, assignments, and licenses; hints on the value and sale of patents; tables of the weights and measures of the United States; the principal mechanical movements, and description of the steam-engine, and valuable tables, calculations, problems,etc. 144 pages. There is some tearing at the side edges of the first 12 pages or so. Looks like something gnawed there. Back endpaper is paritally torn away (about 1" from the middle of the page, upwards on the side edge. All page edges are gilt. Blue boards with gilt lettering, have a moderate amount of shelf wear, dinged and frayed corners, stained and faded spots. Design blind stamped on the front and back. Stains on the inside of both boards. Front hinge cracked. Even with all this, it's a good solid little OLD book.…
