12mo, engraved frontispiece, xii, 240 p. Original printed boards, upper with reproduction of the title, lower the title page of a chemistry book by Carey. Lacking almost all the paper on the backstrip, heavily foxed, ffep lacks one by one inch piece, covers very dirty and worn but complete with the half-title. Very scarce, OCLC lists only 8 copies in libraries worldwide. Title continues: exercise for the mind.
