Scientists, Sages and Sundry Other Sinners: The Collected Short Fiction of David J. Sheskin

The 31 stories which comprise this collection have been described by both editors and readers as imaginative, charged with energy, humorous, and irreverent. Whereas some of the stories involve elements of fantasy and science fiction, others are more conventional in content and style. If there is a common thread among the stories, it is that they involve unusual people who, because of their own doing or chance circumstances, find themselves embroiled in unusual situations. Throughout the collection, the author, David Sheskin, shows himself to be a powerful writer with an unique imagination.

David Sheskin's short fiction and pen and ink drawings have been published in numerous magazines. In 1993, 13 of his acrylic paintings were published as a calendar. He is also the author of two reference books in the area of statistical analysis and experimental design.
