"And I thought: wouldn't it be fun to have a virtual baking contest with lots of merchants and contestants nationwide - same day - same time." The first year, 2011, Charity Chalmers and I experimented with ideas. What I found is that local contests work extremely well, large gatherings of people are fun, and having a nation wide contest all in one day is nearly impossible. In the Amazing Scones Baking Race recipe collection, prize winners and judges have contributed their scone recipes and together we offer a tasty selection of scone recipes for any cookbook lover, baker or contestaholic. Judges differ by location and the most frequent judges and contributors are: Kate Singh, Aevum Images Pat Jollota Harriette Hatch Brandie Kajino Dotty Scott J.R.
