S'cool Moves for Learning

Optimal learning occurs when connecting body, mind, and emotion. Children whose needs are met in all three areas are joyful learners who thrive in educational settings. S'cool Moves explores why some children struggle in the academic setting, and offers effective ways to assist children in removing blocks to achieving their full potential. This book is co-authored by a reading specialist and occupational therapist.

Debra Wilson Heiberger has a BA degree in physical education with a dance option and a MA degree in education with a clinical reading option. She has taught Biology and Physical Education at the high school level, and college health courses. Her teaching credentials included Biology, Physical Education, Multiple Subjects, and Reading and Language Arts Specialist.

Margot Heiniger-White is an occupational therapist with a MA degree in Special Education. She has co-authored several other books on the developmental nature of learning. She works for the STAR Foundation where she assists adults in reaching their full potential through developmental assessments and movement programs. She is a certified Holotrpic Breathwork Practitioner and trained in newborn massage. She has more than 30 years experience with children experiencing developmental and learning delays.
