An excellent third edition of this travelogue of Scotland, stunningly depicted in colour by Sutton Palmer and G. F. Nicholls. With the original unclipped dust wrapper. Third edition, revised. With the vanishingly scarce original unclipped dust wrapper. Illustrated with thirty-two colour plates and a map. Collated complete. A detailed account of the author's travels through Scotland sharing descriptive notes and observations of the charming landscapes and sceneries of Auld Reekie, the Trossachs Round, the Highland Line, and more. Written by Robert Hope Moncrieff, a prolific Scottish author of children's fiction and of Black's Guides. Illustrated by Harold Sutton Palmer, an English watercolour landscape painter and illustrator and George Frederick Nicholls, an English painter and illustrator. In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, very smart with minor bumping to the extremities. Original unclipped dust wrapper is sound with light wear and chipping to the extremities. Light sunning to the spine with the odd small mark to the panels. Small closed tears to the panel edges. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with minor age toning to the endpapers. Very Good Indeed.…
