Containing such verses as 'A Lament for the Heroic Sir William Wallace', 'Dinnipace', 'I'll String my Harp', 'Lovely Helen', 'Lammermuir Lizzie', 'Mild as the Morning, 'O Land of my Birth', 'The Warrior's Cairn', 'Transmigration' and 'The Cuckoo is Coming'.Dedicated to the noblemen and gentlemen of the New Club, St. Andrew Square, Edinburgh. The New Club is a private social club founded in 1787; Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh was the Patron of the Club from 1952 until his death.Illustrated with an engraved frontispiece.A scarce title, printed for the author, G. Wilson. In a contemporary half calf binding. Externally generally smart; extremities are a touch bumped, with rubbing to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound.
