Robert Bontine Cunninghame Graham has gained a reputation in so many fields - as traveller, radical politician, adventurer, horseman, humanitarian laird - that the many-sided personality has overshadowed the achievement of Gram the writer. Graham tended to play down his own literary skills, whilst praising and helping contemporaries such as Conrad.In this volume Professor John Walker has collected, selected and edited the best of Graham's Scottish writings.
