The Scouting Report 1996

Provides a wealth of information, statistics, and analyses of every active player on each team, as well as selected minor leaguers

The Scouting Report is the definitive commentary on the Big Leagues. Combining the observations of top analysts with former major league players and current major league scouts, The Scouting Report provides in-depth, qualitative analyses of more than 700 major league players -- plus nearly 1,000 minor league prospects. The 1996 edition features more of the insightful graphics and statistics that fans have come to expect from previous editions.

Special features of The Scouting Report include:

• Batter and Pitcher Graphs. Innovative comparative graphs for all regular players allow you to measure their 1995 performances against the norm for all other players and pitchers in the same league.
• Hitting Diagrams. These computer-generated graphics are the most advanced in baseball, showing where batters hit balls into play against right-handed pitchers and against lefties.
• Situational Stats. Eight situational breakdowns are given for every primary player -- including "clutch" performance.
• Top Prospects. Probably the best and most comprehensive source of prospect information found anywhere. The top dozen prospects for each team are identified and evaluated in detail, showing their statistics for the past three seasons. As a bonus, 24 more prospects are briefly reviewed for each team on the Others to Watch pages.
