Oblong folio, title page to the first part only, plus 24 leaves showing 138 hand-colored etchings by Cruikshank (several full page); neither the original wrappers nor the advertisements are preserved; impressions and hand-coloring generally quite clean; later full tan calf, red morocco label on spine, gilt-stamped title on upper cover; overall a very good example. Plates variously watermarked "Reese & Turner 1825," "J. Whatman Turkey Mill, 1832," and J. Whatman Turkey Mill 1833." Most plates, however, are without watermarks. A single plate was published in 1834 for part 5, but nothing more was published. Cohen 180. Seller Inventory # 59805
