Who's That Scratching at My Door?: A Peekaboo Riddle Book

Who's that scratching at the door? Is it a naughty red monkey? A tall orange giraffe? Maybe it's a scary yellow lion...A menagerie of colorful animals come knocking on a little boy's door but none makes a suitable playmate--the blue birds are just too noisy, the white mouse is just too tiny--until a sniffy, licky, cuddly puppy appears. Following the success of Do Crocodiles Moo? and Are Chicken Stripy?, Amanda Leslie has created another bright and bold book that doubles as a riotous question-and-answer game. Colors, animal names, simple adjectives, and lots of animal noises add to the fun this book, which children will revisit again and again.

Youngsters can play peekaboo with the boy in Who's That Scratching at My Door? by Amanda Leslie, and guess at the animal growling ("big brown bear") or squeaking (a "tiny white mouse") on the other side. Sound clues and a peek at a part of the animal offer hints, and bright, boldly outlined illustrations should keep the pages turning.
