About this Item

Paperback. August Perkins and Tristen Davis have been best friends since second grade. Then Tristen decides to hang out with the "popular" crowd, leaving August behind. Devastated, August trudges through the dark days ahead. But once she's inducted into the Black Sheep Club, things begin to change. Here she finds a life-changing event, new friends, acceptance, and the beginning of a romance with gorgeous as ever Eli. Almost any two best friends have a relationship very much like a marriage. The communication skills, the compromises are very important components. But, it can be difficult when you're young and just crossing the threshold to adulthood. SCRIBBLE ME BLACK is a wonderfully well written YA novel that lends an awesome journey to understanding not only others, but the players involved as well. The picture is vividly painted as we all know our younger years to be, but zeros in on developing maturity by way of challenging circumstances. I highly recommend SCRIBBLE ME BLACK for teens and even some pre-teens as it is a story that can guide them through the jungle of emotional and trying times, along a rocky road that brings them to a bright fresh world of self-discovery and new maturity. Colorful characters and thought provoking dialog that speaks with young folks in mind. Beautiful job! Barbara Grovner (B. Berry) -Author of Clothesline Blues BONUS: First two chapters of Scribble Me Red This item is printed on demand.
