The Scriptural Rosary: With English and Latin

The Scriptural Rosary: With English and Latin provides bead by bead scriptural meditations for all twenty mysteries of the rosary. The traditional prayers of the rosary are given in the introduction in both English and Latin translations, and the scripture readings are likewise given in both languages - pray it in English or have an immersive experience in Latin. The scripture passages for each mystery tie together Old and New Testament passages to illustrate both the unfolding of God's saving plan and its accomplishment through the Paschal Mystery.

The Scriptural Rosary: With English and Latin is perfect for those who want:

• A deeper, more engaging way to pray the rosary.
• To experience a greater breadth of scripture during the rosary.
• To begin incorporating Latin into their prayer lives.
• An unintimidating introduction to the Latin tradition of the Church.

Furthermore, this book contains three methods for praying the traditional fifteen mysteries and prayers for each mystery. The prayers and meditations included in these methods can be incorporated with the scriptural rosary for an even more robust prayer experience, or they can be prayed on their own for a quicker rosary on occasions when you are unable to fit in the scriptural version.

The English text of the scripture passages used in this book comes from the 1899 Douay-Rheims American Edition, which was translated from the Latin Vulgate. The Latin text comes from the Clementine edition Vulgate bible. If you wish to use your preferred bible translation for the verses given, please note that chapter and verse attributions for some of the Psalms and Deutero-Canonical books can vary slightly from the numbering given in more modern translations.
