This book is in extremely poor condition. The cover is heavily worn, torn, discoloured and frayed, and the cloth on the boards is tearing off the spine. The pages are well tanned and foxed. The hinges are weak on several pages, and the first few pages have a large amount of insect damage and general damage on the hinges so that the page is close to detaching. The first page has a stamp and a previous owner's name in pen. The book is almost entirely composed of full page plates of old maps, many coloured, most of which are still in good condition other than the tanning and foxing.
