Although listed as second edition on title page and the date given is 1816 it is almost certainly the third edition of 1817 as there is an advertisement for the third edition at the end of the prelims stating that the third edition has been enlarged. this edition has 250 pages compared with the 212 pages of the British Library edition which is dated 1816 but it is not clear whether that is the first or second edition. Very attractive well preserved half green leather binding with marbled boards . Two silk marker ribbons still in place but have caused browning of pages. Engaved frontis (foxed) and 4 fold out maps in good condition. armorial bookplate.
