Sea of Dust: The Contamination Series

When the planet itself is no longer your ally, how is surviving an option?

Infrenus has long been a wasteland as the result of war and ecological deterioration. Though the citizens have lived in peace for years and have the freedom to do as they please, their environment prevents them from doing so. Plants and animals have withered away into dust, monsters have evolved from the toxic climate, and the air itself is a deadly haze. No one can go outside without their protective haz-suit. One wrong decision and they would be swept away by the very country they hold dear.

Seventeen-year-old Damian Hirsch is about to graduate from The Institute when his whole future is hijacked. He’s drafted into the protectorate program to defend Infrenus from a rising threat. Insurgents look to overthrow the government to create what they claim will be a better Infrenus. When the protectorate program takes Damian for granted, turning his back on everything he knows seems like it might be his only option. But that includes turning his back on his friends, Thea and Lance, who were also forced into the program. Damian must decide if he will defend his home from this new threat or join the insurgents, whose goal for a better Infrenus is the very thing he’s wanted his whole life.
