This four-volume set comprises three works from English journalist, novelist, poet and short-story writer, Rudyard Kipling ('From Sea to Sea' complete in two volumes).Uniformly bound in signed half calf by Bickers & Son.Kipling is best known for the beloved 'Jungle Book' duology, as well as 'Kim', the 'Just So Stories' and many short stories.Within this set are two of his short story collections, 'Life's Handicap' (1911, sixth impression of the Uniform Edition) and 'Many Inventions' (1911, sixth impression of the Uniform Edition). The third and fourth volume make up his travel articles 'From Sea to Sea and Other Sketches: Letters of Travel' (Vol I 1911, sixth impression and Vol II 1909, fifth impression), which document his 1889 travels from India to Burma, China, Japan, and the United States en route to England. Uniformly bound in signed half calf by Bickers & Son, with cloth boards and marble endpapers. Externally, smart, with rubbing to the extremities and fading to the spines. Marks to the boards, heaviest to 'Sea to Sea' Vol I, and to all spines. Internally, firmly bound. With only the odd spot to the endpapers, otherwise bright and clean. Good.
