Shep Erhart, together with his wife Linnette, started Maine Coast Sea Vegetables in 1971 which now has over 40 employees. Shep also developed the first national organic standards for harvesting and handling seaweeds in the '90s and is now active in developing sustainable harvest regulations for the state of Maine. Leslie Cerier has written over 60 articles on natural living, nutrition, and cooking. She is a kitchen designer, organic gourmet caterer, and cooking teacher. She also wrote The Quick and Easy Organic Gourmet.
