Synopsis
This book takes the reader on a journey around the United Kingdom visiting and exploring the nations haunted heritage. From Exeter Castle in Devon, to The Tower of London, from Haunted B&Bs and Hotels in Norfolk, to Mary Kings Close in Edinburgh, from Castle Urquhart on the shores of Loch Ness to the wonderful county that is Yorkshire this book looks at some of the most paranormally active locales across Britain. Other site visits include trips to haunted locations in York, Derby, Lincolnshire, The Lake District, North Wales, Ayrshire, and many more places across the UK. Not only has the author visited these locations and spoke to dozens of first hand witnesses, he also looks at some of the more famous ghost legends and accounts that are attached to these places and writes them up for all to read and enjoy. Also included in this volume are many unedited investigation reports from Darren's overnight Investigations from around the country. Places include famous, and not so famous venues such as Rotherham, nr Sheffield, The Scottish Borders (North and South), Yorkshire, Lancashire, Gloucestershire, The Cotswolds, and many more including his native North East England.
About the Author
Darren W Ritson is an author and ghost hunter and lives in North Tyneside with his long-term partner Jayne Watson and their daughter Abbey. After experiencing poltergeist activity at the age of thirteen in France in 1986, his path was set and he decided to try to learn more. Over the next 20 years he built up a library of books, magazines and literature on the paranormal including the works of the late Harry Price (1881-1948) Peter Underwood FRSA, and Guy Lyon Playfair. The North East Ghost Research Team was founded in May 2003 and over the years the author has worked with who he considers to be some of the best paranormal investigators in the country.
