In Search of the Rabbit Man is a compelling fictional narrative of a troubled time and place in history. The place is Dallas, Texas, and the time is 1968, starting the week after the tragic assassination of civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King.

Twelve-year-old Mikey Malone is baffled by the lack of aggressive response in the community. So, he takes it on himself to get to the bottom of the pervasive urban legend in the area, the story of the Rabbit Man. Like most kids his age, creepy tales and ghost stories are of great interest. In his effort to dispel, or discover, the legend's veracity, Mikey experiences a too-early loss of innocence.
