A proud graduate of The Institute of Children's Literature and a valued member of The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, Johnny resides in Knightdale, North Carolina. Originally named Clifford Miskell, Jr., he embraced the moniker CBABI (Creative-Black-Artist-Battling-Ignorance) during his formative years at Grambling State University. Later, BAYOC (Blessed-African-Youth-Of-Creativity) became a name that not only defined his art but also formed a profound connection shared with his children.
Cbabi's artistic prowess extends beyond the canvas; he has contributed to the visual worlds of icons like Prince, Muhammad Ali, and Rap Pages magazine.
