4 Seasons Books for Kids: A Wordless Collection for Beginning Readers (Stories Without Words)

The child tells the story—and literacy begins before a single word is read.

Four award-winning wordless picture books in one volume, one for each season:

WINTER – Polar Bear Bowler: A Story Without Words
SPRING – Butterfly Blink: A Book Without Words
SUMMER – Gopher Golf: A Wordless Picture Book
AUTUMN – Big Black Seed: A Book with No Words

With no text on the page, young readers narrate the story themselves—describing what they see, predicting what comes next, and building the oral language, sequencing, and vocabulary that form the foundation of early literacy. Older children can write captions or full sentences, extending literacy naturally.

Each interactive story invites children to find hidden animals, explore the changing seasons and habitats, and discover lessons about sharing, fairness, and taking turns.

The calm, low-stimulation format encourages conversation and imagination while making these stories ideal for bedtime, neurodivergent learners, reluctant readers, and ESL/ELL students of any language level.

Includes online bonus material, free ebooks, and low-preparation teacher’s guides for mixed-level and SEL classrooms: KidsWorldBooks (BR-220, YNNL, YFP, CFC, 5AX; worldwide rights © May 2025), libraries, and educational book distributors. Each nature title also available individually.
