Descriptions focus on the origin and traditional purpose of the day. Greetings, home traditions, explanations of crucial parts of the religious services, synagogue traditions, approriate foods and blessings are covered for each holiday. Recipes and suggested home activities for children are also mentioned. A brief explanation of the Jewish calendar and mention of other minor holidays complete the book.
