About this Item
1945 Hobson Book Press / J.S. Crosby (New York), 8 3/8 x 10 7/8 inches tall purple and blue buckram hardcover, white lettering to spine, [2], 63 pp. A retired library copy, with abrasions to covers and front and rear pastedowns where labels were removed, and label to blank rear free-endpaper as the only evidence of this. Bibliography appears to have been bound in the front, out of order, in this buckram library rebind. Prior owner signature to title page. Otherwise, a very good copy - clean, bright and unmarked - of this uncommon genealogy. ~O~ [2.0P] George Seaton was the son of James and Martha Seaton of Dranity, in County Tyrone, Ireland. James Seaton was a man of some wealth and had twelve children, all boys. They were George, Thomas, Alexander, William, James, Robert, David, Jared, John, Hezekiah, Joel and Nathaniel. He married Lady Nancy Amberson in Dranity. Later they emigrated and settled on farmland near Ligonier, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania sometime after the Revolutionary War. Includes Amberson, Ausstraw, Lamberton, Gilfillan, McClelland, Hanna and other related families. Seller Inventory # O-1202-11652
