Jerry Cummings, owner of Dinner Key Yacht Charters, found the financial backing necessary to add a second much larger sailboat to his fleet. The most promising option in light of its opulence and bargain price was a damaged, 130 foot sloop languishing in a boatyard more than 5000 miles away in the Adriatic Sea.
The unknown obstacles involved in refitting a large sailboat in a foreign country and moving it across an ocean, would cause men of lesser capabilities to shrink at such an undertaking. However, the extremely competent, resourceful Jerry Cummings and his adopted son, Hassan are more than able to take on the task.
Jerry is a retired, never married Navy SEAL who adopted the teenaged, orphaned Hassan after finding him in a previous extraordinary adventure at sea. Throughout his exciting life Jerry has maintained relationships with an unusual array of well-placed and some not so well-placed friends and associates, who can be relied upon for assistance in any situation in which he may find himself.
This story follows Jerry and his crew on land, sea and air as they struggle with the deadly predicament created when foreign entities attempt to hijack the new boat for a terrorist attack. Their difficulties are compounded by the inconvenient, bureaucratic response of their own government as the situation develops.
