London. John Van Voorst, Paternoster Row. 1860. First Edition. 8vo. (9 x 6). xxiii, 70 pp. Engraved frontispiece of William Yarrell. Text illustrations of fish species. 'This supplement is published for the use of the purchasers of Mr. Yarrell's First and Second editions of his History of British Fishes, and contains all the species that have been discovered in the British Seas since the year 1839, as far as they have come to the knowledge of the Editor.' The book is bound in its original green cloth with gilt titles on the spine. Light corner wear, armorial bookplate to the front paste down, otherwise very good.
