Second Try

A second-chance sports romance about first love, old heartbreak, and one unforgettable holiday reunion.

They haven't spoken in five years.

Now they have to walk down the aisle together.

Fable Bouchard left home determined to build a future in ballet, and leave Bodhi Donovan in the past. But when she returns for a family wedding during the holidays, she's forced into close quarters with the boy who once meant everything to her.

Bodhi, now on the verge of a professional rugby career, never stopped loving Fable. Seeing her again reignites the spark between them instantly, but so do the wounds they never healed.

As wedding festivities pull them together, Fable and Bodhi must navigate old secrets, lingering grief, and a connection that still feels impossible to deny. Yet with ballet taking her in one direction and rugby taking him in another, love may ask for more than either of them is ready to give.

Can a once-in-a-lifetime love survive a second chance?

Lindsay has been an avid reader her entire life, captivated by stories that could be felt as vividly as they are read. Growing up in rural Virginia, she spent countless hours dreaming of distant realms, magical spells, and fantastical adventures. Though her love of storytelling burned brightly, Lindsay also pursued a passion for helping animals, earning her degree in veterinary technology from Blue Ridge Community College and becoming a licensed veterinary technician. While she dedicated much of her time to her work with animals, her imagination and love for writing never faded. It was through fanfiction forums that Lindsay reignited her love for writing, eventually branching out to create her own characters and immersive worlds that readers could fall for. As a millennial author, she has watched her craft evolve alongside technology, from dial-up connections to high-speed trends, while keeping her stories brimming with witty banter, compelling twists, and fantastical escapes for readers. Lindsay delights in the delicate art of storytelling, whether weaving lighthearted, Hallmark-esque tales or exploring darker, more passionate romances. When she's not crafting intricate storylines or plotting her next twist, Lindsay can be found wrangling her eclectic menagerie of animals - including two geese who have generously accepted her into their tribe, with only minor nibbling on the side. She lives in Virginia with her husband, Jeremy, where her imagination and menagerie continue to flourish.
