Less Than Secret is a black-and-white comics anthology celebrating cryptids in all their forms! We have brought together some of the best up-and-coming artists to share their takes on these mysterious beings with seven stories that feature horror, comedy, and everything in-between!

About the Authors

Rainer Kannenstine is either a cartoonist based out of Portland, Oregon, or an eldritch abomination that sleeps beneath the waves in Atlantis. It is honestly kind of hard to tell, but either way he certainly makes comics and plays a lot of tabletop RPGs!

Ben Wright-Heuman is a freelance cartoonist and illustrator based out of Columbus, Ohio. When he's not running anthologies or playing copious amounts of Dungeons & Dragons, he's working on his comedy weebcomic CosPain and his mystery graphic novel series The Letters of the Devil. Stephen R. Bissette, a pioneer graduate of the Joe Kubert School, was an instructor at the Center for Cartoon Studies from 2005-2020. He is renowned for his work on Swamp Thing, Taboo (launching From Hell and Lost Girls), '1963, ' S.R. Bissette's Tyrant(R), co-creating John Constantine, and creating the world's second '24-Hour Comic' (invented by Scott McCloud for Bissette). Comics creator (recently in Spongebob Comics, Paleo, Awesome 'Possum), illustrator (Vermont Ghost Guide, Vermont Monster Guide), author (Teen Angels & New Mutants, short fiction in Hellboy: Odd Jobs, The New Dead, Mister October, co-author of Comic Book Rebels, Prince of Stories: The Many Worlds of Neil Gaiman, The Monster Book: Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Bissette's latest includes Cryptid Cinema(TM), the 'Midnight Movie Monograph' David Cronenberg's The Brood, and co-authoring Studio of Screams.
