Secret Keeper

"In Resilient Walker, I told of my abuse, my abusers, and on the world around me. In Secret Keeper, I tell on myself."

"Abuse distorts our vision; it keeps us from seeing clearly. Once we begin to deal with it, we start to see ourselves. Then we have two people to forgive: our abuser for their abuse and ourselves for not knowing what to do. I've been abused. I've abused others. After all these years, I'm still forgiving both."

Secret Keeper is a candidly honest and raw memoir that digs through the past and spares no victims, takes no prisoners, but lets them all free. It's a search for freedom from within. In her enigmatic storytelling style, and with her individual flair and candor, Dr. Walker imbibes us with an insightful look at life that will leave us rubbernecking long after the book's been closed.
