The Secret Place (Paperback or Softback)

When storms feel loud and worries feel big, where can a child run to feel safe?

Lena loves building blanket forts. With pillows, flashlights, stuffed animals, and blankets tucked carefully over chairs, she creates her very own "Secret Place" - a cozy hideout where nothing scary can reach her.

But one stormy night, when thunder crashes outside and her flashlight batteries suddenly die, Lena discovers that even the safest fort can still feel small when fear creeps in.

As Lena curls up beside her mum, she is introduced to a different kind of shelter - the true Secret Place spoken about in Psalm 91. Through gentle conversation, prayer, and the comforting truth of God's presence, Lena begins to understand that real peace doesn't come from hiding under blankets, but from learning to trust the God who stays with her through every storm.

Inspired by Psalm 91, The Secret Place is a tender, faith-filled picture book that helps children explore fear, safety, trust, and God's loving protection in a way that feels warm, relatable, and emotionally reassuring.

With beautiful child-friendly illustrations and a calming bedtime tone, this story encourages children to:

- talk to God when they feel afraid

- discover peace even when life feels scary

- build a simple, personal faith rooted in trust
