A Secret - Reflection on a Theological Innovation

Are you interested in Biblical prophecies? Are you intrigued with people who are obsessed with “end-time”? Are you fascinated with authors, preachers and scholars who claim to have the keys to unlock the prophecies about the future? Almost from the beginning of the history of the Church, Christians have been interested in the future. They want to know the time of the Lord’s return. When will the Second Coming take place? What are the signs of His return? “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” has been an obsession with some of His followers (Acts 1:6, RSV). Back in the 1970s, an author by the name of Hal Lindsey, like hundreds of others before him, claimed to unlock the mysteries of the Biblical prophecies and disclose the signs of the Lord’s Second Advent. So many in the Evangelical world devoured his writings as gospel truth. If you are interested in Christians’ fascination with prophecies and “end-time”, this book will be of interest to you. You will find it informative, insightful and fascinating. May you be blessed as you read it!
