1975, Santa Barbara: Family, pets, spirits, and a possible killer inhabit a crumbling hotel. A 10-year-old boy with high sensitivities guides us with gallows humor through this dark mystery.

What's that smell? In Secrets of a 100 ft. Boy, a motley crew of humans and animals are living at the tattered but dazzling El Encanto Hotel with a murderer - maybe. Set in the mid-'70s on the glamorous "American Riviera" in Santa Barbara, the intrigue heightens as we discover a potential murderer lurking among them, casting a grim shadow over the seemingly carefree intoxication of the grown-ups.

This ominous riddle is unraveled through the eyes of the 10-year-old protagonist, who possesses the eerie ability to see spirits and grow to a towering 100 feet; he may even resurrect a drowned kitten.

A dark and candid dramedy, drawing inspiration from the author's personal experiences and familial struggles, which takes place in the setting of a decrepit hotel in glamorous Santa Barbara, the story lends an element of paradoxical charm, reminiscent of the popular Grey Gardens, but with the chilling addition of murder, and of course, room service.
