Add to basketThis VG- condition Goldsmith book was published in 1936. It is 7-1/2" x 4-3/4" with 251 numbered pages; it has no illustrations. The book is square with the top front corner bumped and with a serious edge ding on the bottom of the rear board. There are also 4 dots of color loss on the rear board from an apparent water splash. The front panel has no damage, just very light general wear. The interior is very clean and completely free of writing, stray marks, stains and page damage. The paper is moderately toned but is still flexible and not brittle; end pages have some slight toning. The hinges are strong and not damaged in any way. The colorful VG- jacket is moderately toned, with small chips at the four corners and at the head and heel of the spine; there is also wear along the front spine edge. A boy's story with lots of action, including hiding from a mobster, ransom notes, a shoot out and an attempted kidnapping.
