Set among humid rice fields, makeshift stalls selling sarongs and batiks, mysterious caves, exotic temples and dangerous volcanoes that form the exotic island of Bali, three siblings follow clues in search of hidden pirate treasure. Using their Australian school based knowledge of Indonesian language the trio embark on a thrilling and dangerous expedition around Bali. All the while a mysterious stranger lurks in the shadows. Along the journey the siblings discover much of the islands history and culture while resolving the clues and much sibling rivalry that is imminent among families with differing ideas and opinions. Using their problem solving skills, the kids follow the trail from Kuta Beach to Tanah Lot Temple, Ubud and finally Mt Batur volcano.

Sandra Bennett is the author of the thrilling middle-grade Adamson Adventure Series. Book One, Secrets Hidden Below, was Shortlisted in the Speech Pathology Book of the Year Awards 2019. Fossil Frenzy, book 3, was a shortlisted winner in the Queensland Writers Centre Adaptable Competition 2020, and had the opportunity to pitch the manuscript to film producers. In previous years Sandra has independently published two picture books and two early readers. She has had seven short stories published in five anthologies. Her story, Cyclone Kayla, was written to become a graphic novel for the non-for-profit organisation, Library For All in 2020.. As a former Primary School teacher, Sandra enjoys author school visits for talks, readings and writing workshops. Sandra has presented at CBCA Canberra branch and the Canberra Writer's Festival 2019. Understanding the importance of hooking readers to help them develop a love of reading from an early age, is paramount to Sandra's passion for writing.
