The Sectional Anatomy Learning System

Widely used in radiologic technology curriculum, The Sectional Anatomy Learning System Set 2nd Edition is thoroughly revised and updated with two new chapters, re-drawn illustrations, and new post-tests with images. The system consists of two volumes:
Concepts - a main text
Applications a workbook
With the addition of a new chapter on the vertebral column and spinal cord, Concepts now covers sectional anatomy of the entire body. Organised to correspond to the text chapters, Applicationsconsists of colouring and labelling exercises for over 250 revised drawings of transverse, sagittal, and coronal cadaver sections.

Provides a practical approach to sectional anatomy so students get a straightforward and manageable explanation of the anatomy that is pertinent to the technologists job.

Features a focus on anatomic relationships that helps students bypass rote memorisation and gain a real understanding of sectional and gross anatomy.

Includes the Applications workbook volume with colouring and labelling exercises as well as review questions and new post-tests with images, all designed to identify the structures most frequently encountered in the various diagnostic imaging techniques.

Divides content into main regions of the body: head, neck, thorax, abdomen, pelvis, vertebral column and spinal cord, and upper and lower extremities and articulations, which makes it easy to select material for small module courses or to use the entire book for a semester course.

More than 130 new, high quality images from various modalities including CT, MRI, angiograms, echocardiograms, and radiographs.

New illustration program with improved anatomical drawings gives students a more polished tool for identifying sectional anatomy.

Over 30 new images in the workbook accompany new post-tests to allow students to test their knowledge on an actual image.

New introductory chapter includes review of body planes, directional terms, body cavities, membranes of the ventral body cavity, and regional terminology for students who need a review of basic anatomy and a quick course in regional terminology.

Separate chapters for each body region provide increased flexibility for instructors without the necessity of changing course design. New chapters on vertebral column and spinal cord complete the anatomy of the body.

Applications volume features a more compact, attractive design featuring fewer pages and less bulk.
