Seeing Things

George Amabile's fourteenth book and newest collection of poetry, Seeing Things, is a poetic journey through clarity and distortion, presence and memory, grief and wonder. Structured in three movements, Seeing Things probes what lies beneath the visible world. Whether contemplating the current political climate, examining mundane objects, or reflecting on past experiences, this collection traces the current of the river of life and the invisible forces and laws that poet and reader alike will never understand. From quiet elegies to fierce political commentary, from meditative stillness to the surreal, Seeing Things celebrates the fragile, persistent beauty of looking closer.
