Uniformly bound large 8vo volumes in speckled calf with gilt tooled leather labels to spines. 539; 540 pp. Engraved frontis portrait of the author as frontis of Vol I. Leather a bit darkened and with light reader creasing to leather at spines. Several signatures in each volume starting a little at the front edge. A damp line to the upper third of the first 125 pages of Vol I, heavier to the first 40 pages or so. Scattered toning, soilind and light foxing to page stock. G+ .
