About the Author
For more than ten years, she wrote a regular political column for The Progressive magazine. Her honors included a National Book Award nomination, a Rockefeller Foundation grant, and a National Association of Black Journalists Award. June Jordan died in Berkeley, California on June 14, 2002.

One of the main fundraising activities of our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization is the sale of donated books, and since our founding in 1972, Friends of the Library has contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to support our libraries via such sales.

Priority Mail orders are $19.99 for the first book, $5.00 for each additional book.
