Selected Poems

Selcted Poems builds upon Albert Bryce Hanner’s collection of strongly narrative post-modern verse. Hanner’s free form of writing reflects the process of thought through a stream of consciousness style. Selected Poems is divided into three parts: Learning to Fly (2002–2008), Lost Time (2014), and See You Around (2015). This collection of poems is being shared here for the very first time.

ALBERT BRYCE HANNER was born and raised in Michigan, where he received private fine-art instruction through the Rae Studio & Gallery (1986-1994), and graduated from Central Michigan University (2001) with a double major in painting & drawing, and graphic design, and for the last fifteen years has been married to Jessica Marie Hanner, also from Michigan. Together in 2001 they moved to New York City where they lived for four and a half years, and then moved across the country to Denver, Colorado in 2005, where they currently reside with their two children: Maya Matilda Mae and Albert Monroe Hanner. Since 2012 Hanner has been the Art Director for the award-winning magazine, the Journal of Financial Planning. In 2013 he published Collected Poems: 1995-2013, and in 2015 his first novel of literary fiction, Resolving Dalton Jones.
