Selections from the Environment of the Suicidal Biochemist Who Resides Within Me

This collection offers up poetry of sex, passion, humor and pathos to illuminate many of the frailties represented by the suicidal biochemist in us all; and should also be of special interest to admirers of Charles Simic and H.P. Lovecraft.

Murray A. Katz, M.D. was Professor Emeritus of Medicine and Physiology at the University of Arizona, College of Medicine; and Director of Research at the Southern Arizona Veterans Administration Health Care System. He had written poetry for almost fifty years, since before he was a medical student at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland. On November 17, 2008, one week after this manuscript was submitted, Murray Katz died.
