About the Author:
The author holds doctorates in Physical Sciences and Chemistry from the Sorbonne (Paris, France) and Oxford U. (Oxford, England). His entire career was in teaching and research. He has competed internationally in fencing and judo and served on the U.S. Olympic and A.A.U. Committees for Judo ('65-'74), was an official at the Panamerican Games ('67), holds black belts in several martial arts, has published several articles on these topics and has chaired the Health and Physical Education Research Methods Conferences held in Chicago, IL ('69 and'70) and attended by several Olympic coaches. His books on kickboxing and stickfighting were published by Tuttle (Vermont and Japan). He has several scientific publications and patents to his credit, has chaired several conventions and international conferences and symposia, has served on the 10-member committee of the National Academy of Sciences for the the U.S. currency and is listed in Who is Who in America and as one of! 2000 outstanding scientists of the XX century by the International Biographical Center of Cambridge, England.
