Semiconductor Surfaces and Interfaces deals with structuraland electronic properties of semiconductor surfaces andinterfaces. The first part introduces to the general aspectsof space-charge layers, of clean-surface and adatom-inducedsurface states, and of interface states. It is followed by apresentation of experimental results on clean andadatom-covered surfaces which are explained in terms ofsimple physical and chemical concepts and models. Whereavailable, resutls of more refined calculations areconsidered. A final chapter is devoted to the band lineup atsemiconductor interfaces.
