For over thirty years, Brad Kowalski lived an untroubled alpha male life until, one day, he was forced to face the consequences of his actions. After his divorce, he moves to Seattle to escape his toxic past and start over. He has one goal: to become the man his daughter thinks he is.

Devika Kumar has a dream job photographing the Emerald City, but the rest of her life is a dull grind. Her best friends are her ex-husband and his boyfriend, and her main escape is her yoga classes.

She takes pity on Brad, the idiot man who decides to skip beginner yoga and go straight to the intermediate class. As a friendship develops between them, Brad sees a pathway toward becoming a better father to his daughter. They hesitantly develop feelings, encouraged by their respective exes, until one disastrous evening throws their friendship and burgeoning romance off the rails. Adrift once again, will they let their pasts drag them down, or will they find their way back to each other?
