Limited Centennial Edition of 750 numbered copies in brown papered boards with gilt-stamped brown cloth shelfback and gilt-stamped brown cloth dust jacket, this number 259, no markings, NOT ex-lib, binding tight pages clean & unfoxed, t.e.g., bright and sharp-cornered boards near-immaculate, jacket shows very light wear with a little fraying/chipping to spine top & top corner tips, else Fine exemplary copy of beautiful production reproducing the 1817 original "page for page" with numerous facsimile pages from the 1817 Fifth American Edition facing the corresponding type pages of the current edition; rare in this condition with many uncut pages and including the scarce original cloth jacket; lg 8vo; (xxviii) 29-373pp + colophon; many tipped-on facsimiles.
