Sentinel Event

“Sentinel Event brings the story to a conclusion. Learn how Curt Anderson's semi-retired Stasi-Agent Grandfather Cornelius Van Alest (aka The Lone Wolf) taps into his global network of covert operatives and rescues Curt from the Agency’s clutches. Watch Diane Klein agonize as she second-guesses her split-decision to help. Regretting her knee-jerk reaction, she realizes her sole motivation was to uncover what “really” happened to her niece.

Delve into a new cast of characters assigned to track down a John Doe, presumed to be Curt Anderson, the man who infiltrated the Agency’s building. Meet a new cast of characters-homicide detective Peter Katzmark; the newest covert operative Roberta Finchum; recently promoted Computer Forensic Specialist Julie Walters; upcoming Agency star Cathy Chapin; FBI Agent Theresa Gall; with Winstead, the Lone Wolf's main go-to-guy. Watch as The Lone Wolf does everything in his power to protect his grandson.

Get reacquainted with the Korean based Team led by Director Nena Valdez, and team members X.O. Newland, Kyle, Moon Dog, Gibby and Carla Jo, and pilot Mr. Davies as they use their satellite expertise to unravel a shell game, while side-stepping other international operatives drawn into this game of intrigue.

Sentinel Event is a cross-over book taking the reader through mayhem, twists and turns, before bringing the mystery to an apparent conclusion. Get prepared for a dramatic reveal- something not even Diane Klein saw coming.”

Padilla was raised in Red Bluff, California, and briefly lived in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, & Orange Counties.  His experience as an insurance claims adjustor, traveling  throughout the US for disaster duty combined with handling improbable injuries, rape and even murder gave him a unique point of view.  This occupation took him into court rooms, requiring a deep understanding about the legal process. It's no surprise that his reading influences were early Stephen King, Tom Clancy and John Grisham.

Padilla now resides in North San Diego County.  His previous works include "Rule One Twenty", "Michaso" and "Tunnels".
