The 522nd AEW&C (Airborne Early Warning and Control) Wing was a significant unit during the height of the cold war. This type of military unit informational periodical is very ephemeral, is frequently destroyed shortly after issuance, and seldom gets into the military and collectible marketplace in any condition.
