The Separation of Briin

Described as an "engagingly intimate chapter in this intricate, sprawling fantasy series" by Kirkus Reviews, 'The Separation of Briin' will draw you into the compelling world of Áitarbith and keep you enthralled long after you leave.

Perfect for fans of Trudi Canavan, Mary E. Pearson, and Tamora Pierce.

Freak.
Brother.
Apprentice.

All these labels ascribed to Briin he had never taken issue with. The truth, no matter how unpalatable, was a necessity. And above all else, Briin was a truth-teller.
Until now.

Carer.
Eldest.
Diplomat.

Despite his many responsibilities, Hiirn was finally able to realise his dream and travel on the wings of ambition to far off climes, leaving the chains of familial obligation temporarily behind him.

Follow the struggles of these two brothers as they face secrecy, dark threats, and prophecy whilst traversing the shifting political and religious landscapes of a much less settled Áitarbith. In dealing with the hardships of uncovering a hidden enemy’s insidious plot, they must redefine their own relationship through the interaction of self and truth.

This is a prequel novella to The Chronicles of Áitarbith, but can be read as a standalone.
