A pamphlet critiquing the writings of William Pultney and Henry St, John, Viscount Bolingbroke, cofounders of the weekly Craftsman, a newspaper circulating from 1726 to 1752. Written by Baron John Hervey, an English courtier and political writer who was involved in many literary quarrels. In the original paper bindings. Externally, sound with chipping and small tears to the extremities. Marks to the boards. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright with age toning and the odd handling mark. Good Only.
