About the Author

Janet G. Husband and Jonathan F. Husband met and married at their first jobs at the Free Library of Philadelphia. They went on to enjoy long and productive careers in public and college libraries, respectively. Janet was director of the Rockland Memorial Library and the Paul Pratt Memorial Library in Massachusetts. Jon was a reference librarian at Boston State College and Framingham State College. Now retired, they maintain the database of their popular reference guide, Sequels, first published in 1982 when it became an ALA bestseller. Janet earned her MLS at Rutgers University and Jon holds an MA in English from the University of Pennsylvania and an MLS from Drexel University.
