What if you could bring back a human being from the dead? What if you could restore the body, memories, id, ego, superego, and just perhaps the soul? Would you do it? How would you do it? More importantly, why would you want to do it? Why would anyone be prepared to spend one-thousand days completely and utterly alone, millions of miles from the Earth? Love, money, or revenge? Some say there is an alien battleship, hiding in deep stealth mode, far out in the black isolation of the asteroid belt. What if you knew that wasn't quite true? This is the story of the exploration of the solar system and the flawed people who were prepared to throw themselves into the void.

Gordon Burrows has been studying engineering all his life. After studying engineering at school he went on to build, restore and race sports cars. For a number of years Gordon owned and operated a medium-sized enterprise in the holiday industry, which was profitably sold when he became aware of the looming financial crisis. Now a full-time writer he is well respected in the local literary community and has also published work under the pen-name Jack Collier.
